That’s a fair question. Some people have visited here from our other site www.c.co.uk, curious to see what would be there. Others have typed in www.c.uk out of curiosity. Most people are here by accident. We want to turn that accident into the best accident they’ve ever had.
When people make typo’s such as physics.c.uk instead of physics.co.uk, or dodgeball.c.uk instead of dodgeball.co.uk, they arrive at our site, www.c.uk. This is due to a feature known as wildcard subdomains for the techies out there.
Quite a lot actually! We get over 100,000 unique individuals a month visiting our site. This adds up quite quickly, as each year we have about 1.37 million people visiting us, or to put it better 2.1% of the entire UK population. That’s enough to fill Old Trafford over 18 times!
We are claims.co.uk. We are a small business passionate about helping people and charities. Over the years we’ve helped some great charities. We’ve climbed Kilimanjaro for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, sponsored the Cerebra Children’s Awards for several years along with helping the likes of Children Today, Shine and Action for Kids to name a few.
We’re not quite sure yet. When we bought this domain name along with www.c.co.uk we never quite knew what plans we had for it, but we’re sure we could make it into something great. Hopefully we can develop this into one of the biggest social projects in the UK, helping those who need it most.
Well the way we look at this is simply an awesome opportunity. If you made a typo would you rather receive a ‘Page not Found’ error, or be able to look into some of the smallest but most worthwhile charities in the UK? For us, it was a no-brainer.
Well that is up to you! We are working behind the scenes to develop a great resource to showcase charities, make the world that little bit better, and help people feel good about it in the process.
